前半は80歳でエベレスト登頂に成功、その人生の過程でキャンプライフの醍醐味を悟るプロス­キーヤー三浦雄一郎。

後半は、趣味のキャンプが高じて、長野の山奥に自らの土地を手に­入れ、週の半分近くをそこで暮らす「.......Research」ディレクター小­林節正氏。

ロケーションは、よくアウトドア雑誌に使われるあそこです。

上の写真はマヤの聖なる泉「セノーテ」

場所はメキシコ・ユカタン半島のマヤ遺跡。

メキシコは行ってみたい国のひとつだ。

石灰岩が陥没してできた大きな泉に、地元の少年たちが涼を求めてそこに飛び込んでいる。

右手に写っている彫像は、マヤの伝説に登場するいたずら好きの精霊だそうです。

実は僕、ダイビングの国際ライセンスを持っています。

いつかここへ潜りに行きたいと思っています。
